Dalton is located in the heart of KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, 2 hours drive from Durban and 4 hours drive from Johannesburg. Dalton is accessible via road or air. Charter flights can be arranged from OR Tambo (Johannesburg) or King Shaka International (Durban) direct to Dalton’s private airstrip.

Day temperatures range from 30°C in Summer down to 18°C during the

Winter, while nights can be a good 15°C less in either season. Dalton is in a malaria free region in South Africa.

In the case of medical emergencies, Dalton has trained first aiders on site and is 1 hour from the nearest hospital as well as having immediate access to helicopter emergency services located nearby.
